About Me
My name is Trudy Jeanette Vazquez, some people know me by my maiden name, Cardona. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Texas.

EVolv was created from a conversation I had with a loved one. This person had gone through an unstable and traumatic childhood which led to the need for long term therapeutic services. It was in my heart several years ago to create a service to the community that can reduce how much trauma affects families. My focus was to equip the individuals and families with what they need to begin repairing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; to overcome that trauma that left them broken. My conversation with this person was confirmation that I could find a way utilizing what I have learned so far in my career to provide affordable services.

EVolv is about GROWTH. Learning not only in the counseling room, but everywhere - have a virtual presence. All services provided are geared to provide knowledge on important topics so you can make the best decision for you or your family. Having a guide about what services are best for your situation before committing to anything, WILL save you time and money.
My ultimate goal is to give you a chance to be proactive by obtaining support before your situation escalates. I have learned through my personal and professional experience that everyone is in a different place in life. Let's acknowledge where you are, what you need, and what steps you need to take to achieve your goal of overall wellness.

At EVolv, you can trust that I will speak the truth, with love. I will maintain consistency, but be flexible and understanding when needed. I will be supportive in every way I possibly can. This can expect growth in your personal and professional life. You can evolve to be the person you know you can be. All I ask is for you to trust me and the process. Are you ready?

Educational and Professional Background
I graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY (2011) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Following this, I pursued further education at Mercy College, now known as Mercy University, where I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling degree (2015).

I began working in the mental health field in 2009 after enrolling in Mount Saint Mary College. During my time in MSMC, I worked as a residential assistant, proctor, and office assistant for the Office of Academic Affairs. My first internship was for an inpatient treatment program for children and adolescents at Four Winds Hospital. There, I began my training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My second internship was for an afterschool program for low income students. I taught organizational and time management skills, as well as how to study.

After I graduated from MSMC in 2011, I began working for an emergency foster care unit. In 2012, I started my Master's program for Mental Health Counseling. Shortly after my enrollment, I relocated from Newburgh, NY to Jersey City, NJ. I worked full time and attended school part time. I worked for Safe Horizon, in Staten Island and Brooklyn NY. My time at Safe Horizon was great, I was trained in Domestic Violence and how to provide support via the Safe Horizon Hotline.
After I graduated with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling, I was employed as a counselor for an Intensive In Community Program. From 2015-2022, my role was to provide mental health counseling services and case management services to low income families who were involved with Child Protective Services, both in their homes and in the community. In 2021, my family and I had relocated to Texas where I obtained my LPC licensure in 2022.

Since 2022, I have worked as a counselor for my private practice. I had also obtained experience working as a Coordinator of Student Success at Parker University. As of September 2024, EVolv became a reality and I am hopeful that these services can transform your life.
